PREPARING TO RECEIVE REIKI

At a pre-arranged time, just relax and rest for 20-40 minutes.

Some people like to make special preparations before they receive their healing. There is no wrong or right way to do this. You may wish to bathe or shower. 

Sit down in a quiet place with your eyes closed. Put on some relaxing music, meditation style, classical or flute playing – nothing with a heavy beat or vocals. You could also light some candles or incense. The most important thing is that you have the intention to accept the attunement. Some people report feeling light headed during the attunement, this is quite normal, try and eat a light snack and drink some water beforehand as this can help stop the feeling.This is a personal  process and all you really need is a quiet place where you will not be disturbed while you receive the healing.

After the attunement – people experience their attuenements in different ways, some more subtle than others. There is no normal.

Even if you are unaware of feeling anything during or after you have been attuned. Place your hands on your body to start the energy flowing.

You may distribute the manuals sent to you but you must not charge for them, if you go on to attune other people, the fee you charge is for the attunement and any support before and after.

This personal questionnaire is designed to help you tune into your body and emotions. It is a good idea to look through this questionnaire before, during, and after your sessions of Distant Healing. It is wise to start a diary or journal before the start of any healing and make notes as you go along. Also make a note of what you expect to receive from the healing and how you would like your life to change. Remember changes can be subtle or dramatic, and new solutions to old problems are often an additional unexpected gift.

I must also reiterate that as Reiki helps remove toxins from the body, it is advisable to drink at least 6-8 large glasses of water a day. Distant Reiki Healing compliments ALL medical and psychological care. Continue taking medication and treatment prescribed by your doctor.

Are there any tense areas? Where are they?

Describe there intensity on a scale from 1-10

What percent of your day or week would you say this tension exists?

2. HOW WOULD YOU RATE YOUR ENERGY LEVEL?

Consider the times of day when you feel the most energized or the most tired. Why?

3. DO YOU HAVE AN ILLNESS OR ADDICTION?

What triggers this problem?

Can you replace the addiction with a more self beneficial activity?

4. WHAT PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR DO YOU WISH TO RELEASE?

Ex: not being able to say “no”, afraid to show your real self, smoking, drinking, or overeating?

5. WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?

Are you truthful to yourself and others?

Do you hold back from expressing your feelings?

Do you always feel like a victim?

Do your family and friends support you?

How often do you treat yourself with nights out or relaxation time?

Do you feel able to assert yourself?

6. DO YOU FEEL ‘STUCK’ IN CERTAIN AREAS OF YOUR LIFE?

Are you able to move forward in plans for your future?

Is anyone keeping you back and why?

7. HOW CLEAR IS YOUR ABILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS?

Does your mind run in circles?

Are you too full of fear and anger to see clearly?

What percentage of your day do you feel clarity and control?

What percentage of your day is peaceful and without stress 1-10?

8. HOW ARE YOUR SLEEP PATTERNS?

Do you sleep well?

Do you have disturbing dreams?

9. WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS YOU ARE DRAWN TO?

Are they supportive or destructive?
